Flatwood Table Top Suited Speed Cloth
Product Description
The "roll-up" cloth that used to be on this page is no longer available. They were taking too much time to make and the extra adhesive made fumes that were rather hazardous.
The Flatwood Table Top is a great makeshift gaming surface. It is a single piece of BB-grade (perfectly flat) oval plywood measuring 37 inches wide and 85 inches long (94 x 216 cm) covered on top by Volara or Neoprene padding and your color choice of Suited Speed Cloth. This is identical to the materials used on the Full-size Portable Poker Table, but without the padded vinyl rail (it is also slightly smaller). The Flatwood can be place right on top of your dining room table or bridge across 2 smaller mahjong tables. It is particularly useful when you have a smaller 6 person dining table. Since it is has a strong 3/4 inch plywood base, the Flatwood can extend your current 6-person dining table into an 8-10 person poker table. It is even strong enough to place elbows on the table where it extends beyond your table.
The Flatwood provides a much better and longer-lasting playing surface than the tri-fold table tops, but the Flatwood cannot be folded for storage. You can store it horizontally or vertically against a wall though.
The Flatwood comes in several colors (see the options drop down list). The "China" colors are not made from true Speed Cloth (they are not coated with the special fabric conditioner). They look the same, but will wear a little faster than the USA-made cloth.
The USA-made Suited Poker Speed Cloth is made from Polyester/Olefin and is protected with a Teflon fabric protector. Cards slide effortlessly across this surface and many casinos are switching away from felt to use this superior, longer-lasting material. The padding is either Volara, the best closed cell gaming table foam, or Neoprene, a slightly softer material. The cloth is bonded to the pad with 3M™ Super 77 Spray Adhesive. This is the same way we make our full size tables.
